Walk along the banks of the River Blackwater. Enjoy the fresh air and take in the stunning scenery. Make a short climb to the top of Corrin Hill in Fermoy overlooking the Nagle Mountains, a beautiful sight.
Enjoy a fantastic day out at the Ballyhass Lakes near Mallow, Co. Cork. Discover up to 20 different activities across the centre’s natural landscapes and watersports lake. From zip-lining and rock climbing to kayaking and archery, this centre has it all. For a truly memorable experience, head to their wakeboard park. There are great camping facilities and comfortable holiday homes available on site. Stay on the grounds and wake up to the stunning lake views; a brilliant base for a family holiday.
Visit the Labbacallee Wedge Tomb in Fermoy, the largest wedge tomb in Ireland. Known as the ‘Cailleach Bhéara’ (meaning the Hag or Witch’s Bed) the tomb is associated with the Celtic Hag Goddess. Or, take a trip across the oldest bridge in Glanworth.
Travel to the Nano Nagle Centre in Mallow and gain an appreciation for the Presentation founder’s story. At the heritage centre, you will find beautiful gardens and a delightful café. Visit the farmers market in the Nano Nagle Centre on Saturday mornings (10:30 am to 1pm).
